Madison County Prevention supports our community by providing adult education on a variety of topics related to parenting, substance misuse, wellness, trauma, suicide prevention, and mental health virtually or in person.

Alcohol Literacy Challenge

Alcohol Literacy Challenge (ALC) uses media literacy techniques to demonstrate how alcohol marketing can produce strongly held positive beliefs about drinking and how young people are impacted by marketing tactics.

CATCH My Breath is a peer-reviewed, evidence-based youth vaping prevention program. The program provides up-to-date information to teachers, parents, and health professionals to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions about the use of e-cigarettes, including JUUL devices. CATCH My Breath utilizes a peer-led teaching approach and meets National and State Health Education Standards.

Trauma 101

Trauma 101 provides a foundational overview of trauma, resilience, and trauma-informed care for anyone in the community. 

Mind and Body enrichment_yoga and mindfulness

Yoga and Mindfulness Basics will teach you the basics of Yoga and Mindfulness.  Yoga and Mindfulness can make you stronger, more flexible, focused and alert.

GenerationRX

Generation RX focuses on educating on four “key messages” for safe medication practices to prevent drug overdoses (representing the leading cause of accidental death in the U.S.).

MBF Child Safety Matters® is a comprehensive, evidence-based curriculum for elementary school students in grades K-5. The program educates and empowers children and all relevant adults with information and strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to bullying, cyberbullying, all types of abuse, and digital abuse dangers.

Stress First Aid

Stress First Aid is a set of supportive actions designed to help you with self-care and support others to mitigate the negative impacts of stress.

MBF Teen Safety Matters® is a comprehensive, evidence-informed prevention education program for middle school students in grades 6-8 and high-school students in grades 9-12.

PAXIS Institute identifies and connects the best science and wisdom to maximize the peace, productivity, health, and happiness of individuals, families, organizations, and communities everywhere.

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program ® is a parenting and family support system designed to help children to realise their potential. 

Triple P is designed to be with parents on every step of their journey, providing help and guidance to families when they need it. It aims to create supportive family environments, and to prevent, as well as treat, behavioural and emotional problems in children and teenagers.
